Global Business Development Manager for Intelligent Buildings and Strategic Alliances 


Bob Allan supports global sales teams to educate current and potential customers on intelligent buildings and the use of a single unified structured cabling system to connect and integrate multiple building systems. He has over 15 years in the IT industry helping customers optimize and integrate their buildings. He is the Vice Chair of the CABA Intelligent and Integrated Building Council and is a LEED Green Associate.



Learning Objectives:

  1. Develop a basic knowledge of the design and installation benefits related to a unified infrastructure within a smart building including capital and operational savings with sustainable systems.
  2. Identify and describe the basic design foundations, technology systems, and management systems associates with smart controls.
  3. Apply aspects of smart building design components to potential LEED credits.
  4. Demonstrate and communicate the sustainable value of a smart building design to the building owner/operator, and cot justify the smart building approach.
