ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
A presentation on confronting the design challenges in re purposing the under-utilized retail store, locate din a suburban downtown and creating a mixed-use project that benefits the community.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Better understanding of the challenges of a mixed-use commercial project.
  2. Understanding the challenges and evaluating existing building preservation vs new construction.
  3. Basic principles of adapative re-use of the commercial structure.
  4. How the public and political process impact a design outcome.
OUR PRESENTER:

 

Tran Le is a registered architect in Massachusetts and has NCARB certification.  She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Architecture, and she received her Masters degree in City Planning from MIT.  Tran is new to Kenneth Rodrigues & Partners, Inc. and has brought her 10 years of experience in architecture and planning to the firm.
