Endeavor - The New Nvidia Campus

2701 San Tomas Expressway

Santa Clara

A smartly designed space that will bring teams together, pushing performance, and supporting future growth.

When completed in late 2017, the two-story building Endeavor, will span 500,000 square feet, accommodate 2,500 employees and provide two levels of underground parking.  Its unique design — based on the triangle, the fundamental building block of computer graphics — will deliver functionality and efficiency in an open, sweeping environment.

Key Features:

  • 75 percent less potable water than a typical modern building its size – a huge benefit in drought-stricken California.
  • 4 types of glass and 245 skylights
  • A thousand 4 x 12-foot panels of double-paned glass, tinted to allow in the proper amount of light and keep out heat.
  • Perforated metal panels on the underside of the roof support a stack of sound-absorbing fiberglass, rigid foam insulation, waterproofing, and decorative ribs to add shadow and depth.
  • Sharp focus on recycling, reuse during campus construction with a 96% recycling rate
  • Earthquake resilience:  The triangular building is being framed and supported by giant, 40-foot-long steel braces, which have steel cores encased in concrete.  Known as buckling-restrained braces, or BRBs
  • Innovative use of VR in designing Endeavor.  Gensler and NVIDIA are combining photo-realistic 2D renderings with NVIDIA Iray technology to help inform choices for the building’s interior walls, coverings, and furnishings.  VR is an essential part of the design review, all without being on the actual job site.

Parking will be at the old campus of Lumines, 2400 Condensa Street, Santa Clara. This building is very close to the Nvidia campus and has ample parking available.

Walk to the current Nvidia building or take the Nvidia shuttle.  Meeting will be in the Cafeteria and groups will be escorted to the new building for the scheduled tours.

Parking at the Nvidia campus is challenging and typically reserved for employees.  If that changes, we will update this information.

Ask questions, be part of the discussion and explore the future of Smart Buildings in this interactive panel discussion.
